Rimawan is a lecturer in Economics at the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. He earned his PhD (Economics) and MSc (Economics) from the University of York, UK. His Sarjana or BA (Economics and Development Studies) is from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. His research interests are in the following fields:
- Crime Economics
- Game Theory
- Experimental Economics
- Economic Evaluation
- Industrial Economics
He has been joining the Department since 1994 and his current appointment is a Deputy of Research in the Training and Research in Economics and Business (P2EB), Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada. His previous appointments include:
- Deputy of Database and Publication, Training and Research in Economics and Business (P2EB), Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (July 2010-March 2011)
